UC Davis now has its first National Wrestling champion - Derek Moore at 141 lbs. Not only is he the first to win the coveted NCAA Champion title, he was the first in school history to go undefeated, he won by technical fall 17-2 (which is the wrestling equivalent to the slaughter rule in baseball), and he was named the most outstanding wrestler of the tournament.
